Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club 2010 Summer Challengers Program Fenton Park- 1203 8th Street Lewiston, ID 83501 / 743-0748 June 7th – Aug 20st 7:00 am – 6:00 pm End of Summer Bash – Aug 20th (@ Aquatic Center) Clubhouse Closed: Aug 20th Our Summer Program is a safe, structured place for children 5 to 10 years of age to go during the summer, and be influenced by positive adult role models (5 year olds must be entering into Kindergarten & may attend on a trial basis). Our hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Qualified staff provides structured activities in several areas of learning and fun. Scholarships are available, so that the program is affordable for everyone. Programs include: indoor-outdoor athletic activities, games room tournaments, arts & crafts projects, computer fun, and educational activities in our Education Center. Also please remember the summer ends August 20th and members must renew their membership for the school year. For more information about our program and our policies and procedures please pick up a Membership Handbook at the front counter. Reminder, to best serve your child this facility is not a daycare facility; it is intended to provide youth development programs. Summer Membership Fee The membership fee is a one-time $50.00 fee per child for the summer. We do not have a sliding membership fee scale for multiple family members. Hours of operation are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Scholarships are available for those who qualify. Inquire at the Front Counter. Summer Challengers Weekly Fee WEEKLY FEE: 1 Child 2 Children 3 Children 4 Children $60.00 $110.00 $150.00 $180.00 **Challengers Special** $480.00 for the entire summer and receive 3 weeks FREE!! (must be paid in advance) Sign-In/Sign-Out Please remind your child to sign-in & sign out on the computer at the front counter when they arrive. This is a helpful tracking tool for parents and staff but is the responsibility of the member to carry out. Parents or other ‘authorized adults’ must sign challengers out each day. Please include other people who are authorized to pick up your child on the registration form. Club member must be picked up and signed out by closing time!! Failure to do so could result in loss of membership. Lunch & Snack A well-balanced, free lunch and snack is prepared each day by Lewiston School District. A Challenger staff picks it up and transports it to the Club each day. To ensure your child will receive a lunch, we need to know by 9:00am if your child needs a lunch each day. We can not guarantee your child will get a lunch if we are not contacted by 9:00am. If your child chooses not to eat the provided lunch, they may bring a sack lunch. We ask that you do not send any food items that require our staff or your child to cook, microwave or to prepare at the Club. I.E., Top Ramen, Frozen Food, etc. Health & Accidents In the event of an emergency, a staff person will attempt to contact parents using the information on the membership form. Please keep your home, work, and emergency contact information current. In fairness to your child and others, please do not send your child to the Club when he/she is ill. Staff will notify a parent as soon as possible if your child becomes ill while at the Club. If a parent cannot be reached, Club staff will assess the situation and make the necessary decisions for the safety of the child. “Outside the Club” Activities
The “Outside the Club” Activities will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 3:30 pm. Outside Activities are offered to enhance our Summer Program and are not designed to be our Summer Program. For a child to be able to attend, payment must be made before 12:00pm on the day of the activity. Outside the Club activities are optional, but highly encouraged. We prefer that you do not pick up your child from special events, but we realize that at times, this may be necessary. Please notify the staff at the Club and the staff at the event site. Outside the Club activities could include: Swimming ($1.50), Skating ($5.00), Bowling ($5.00), Movies ($6.00) and Mini Tours (Free). There will be no refunds or credits given for missed activities. All activities are subject to change. Please discuss with your child if and when he/she has permission to attend “Outside the Club” Activities. There is not adequate time in the day to allow each member to call for permission. The staff will trust the member’s decision to attend or not. 2010 Summer Challengers Program Participation in ALL Club Programs requires a current Boys & Girls Club Membership. A summer membership is $50 and runs June 7th – August 20th. You must first fill out a Membership Form before turning in the program Registration Form. All fees must be paid in advance of the week attending. (The Friday before the Monday attending) Reduced weekly rates will be available if you qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch. We ask that you do not bring your child to the Club before 7:00 am. You may pay for multiple weeks at one time for your convenience. If you wish to pay for the entire summer, in advance, we will offer a reduced rate of $480.00. Pay for 8 weeks and get 3 free!
